Something very special—and very different

Makers of Kyushu travels through towns and countryside to meet the people keeping Japan’s traditional crafts alive. We will step inside family workshops, pottery villages and places rarely visited by international travellers.

Rather than rushing between headline attractions, the journey reveals how regional culture is lived through food, craft, hospitality and businesses carried through generations.

Personal access and meaningful encounters

You will learn directly from makers, stay in beautiful ryokans and small local accommodation, and experience a slower, more personal side of Japan.

Some experiences have been arranged personally through relationships Sachi has built with the makers—including invitations into places that are not normally open to visitors.

Meet the makers

This small-group Japan tour is limited to only six guests, allowing for conversation, connection and visits that would not work with a large group.

Bookings are now open for 29 April–8 May 2027. Twin-share and single pricing is available directly from Sachi on request.
